As I had promised you earlier today, Google has just announced the rollout of their newest attempt to break into the social media sphere, Google Buzz.
Google Buzz attempts to find a happy medium between Twitter's public-by-default and Facebook's private-by-default policies by allowing users to choose if their status updates will be visible to everyone or just their friends. However, be forewarned that Google automatically friends users that you communicate with frequently with automatic friending.
What will Google Buzz do to further our obsession with social media? One can only imagine at this point...
By the way, most users did not receive the initial rollout today, but it will continue to expand over the next few days and all users should have Google Buzz by the end of the weekend! (Also, for Safari users: You can get a sneak peak at Google Buzz by clicking here!)
